Do you want to understand the essential ingredients needed to make a successful food & drink business? We have the answers. Join Nick Smith, Food Business Advisor at Hethel Innovation, to cover pivotal factors, such as reaching your target audience and financial forecasting.


If you are planning to start your own food business or have recently taken the jump to do so, it is an exciting step to take, but can also be a steep learning curve. By attending these focussed sessions, you will be introduced to the factors you will need to consider when starting this journey.

We will cover all stages, from establishing your business model and strategy, to food safety considerations and legislation, identifying your customers, budgeting and delivery. Feedback from previous sessions from delegates express how they feel more confident and knowledgeable to delivering their own food business vision.

This course is designed to give you an introduction into the steps to take when you starting your own food business.

The course will be delivered in four 3-hour sessions covering the following topics:

Session 1 - 7th of September 5:30-8:30pm - Developing the Right Product

Session 2 - 14th of September 5:30-8:30pm – Customers & Where To Find Them

Session 3 – 21st of September 5:30-8:30pm - How It’s Made & How It Gets There

Session 4 – 28th of September 5:30-8:30pm - The Business & Making It Happen

You will be given an overview of the elements of running your own food business, and you will have the confidence to drive your business forward successfully.
